What does BringFront do?
BringFront uses keyboard shortcuts to instantly bring all windows of the currently focused or any configured application to the front, placing them above other open applications. The keyboard shortcuts is fully customizable to suit your needs (alternatively, clicking the first menubar button does the same thing for the currently focused app).
Why should I use BringFront?
- From time to time, we might end up with multiple windows open for the same application (like Finder), but there’s no quick way to bring them all to the front at once.
- We may want to instantly open certain applications, such as note-taking apps, to quickly jot down our thoughts.
BringFront simply takes it a step further, making those tasks simple and seamless, eliminating the need for excessive cursor movement and clicking.
Doesn't clicking the app on the Dock do the same thing?
Yes, it works well in specific contexts. However, consider this:
- We need to move the cursor to the edge of the screen, locate the app on the Dock, click on it, and then move the cursor back to the app window. This process is inconvenient on large screens with many apps open. Additionally, depending on the setup, the Dock might only appear on one of multiple displays.
- For specific apps, they might not appear on the Dock if they are not open. BringFront will open them for you.
Can BringFront help flatten those windows after bringing them to the front?
BringFront is currently available through the official App Store. The App Store comes with sandboxing restrictions that applications must adhere to, so it is unable to move(control) your windows.
